“A place for memories to begin.”
The American Heritage…
“I remember those first trips to the farm to pheasant hunt with my father and brothers. Carrying an unloaded gun, the gun safety classes, the many missed shots, my first rooster and the fine pheasant dinners that my mother made.
I can remember the pride in my father’s eyes years later, as we shared stories and relived each experience, warmed by the fire on a cold Minnesota winter day.
I was fortunate to have grown up with a deep appreciation of the outdoors, and the legacy of our great American natural resources and wildlife. My feelings of disappointment at the reality of reduced populations of game, dwindling habitats and places to hunt were so strong that they became the origins of American Heritage Hunting Club. This is why we started the American Heritage Hunting Club. American Heritage Hunting Club is a place for your memories to begin, traditions to continue and where your hunting heritage can be developed and preserved.” – Don Ellwanger
American Heritage Hunting Club is 200 acres of challenging, naturally developed and maintained upland game bird hunting land. Approximately 30% of the American Heritage Hunting Club habitat is in renewable food/cover plots that are left in the field to sustain constant field populations of game birds and wildlife. Our habitat remains in top condition throughout the fall and winter months, extending hunting well into spring. Our goal is to make you feel that you really went hunting.
Open to the
general public and members, you are always welcome to come and enjoy year round hunts for pheasants, chukars, quail and turkey. Rent the clubhouse and facilities for business meetings, entertaining or family reunions. Overnight facilities and lodging are available. No hunting group is too small for us. Hunting at American Heritage Hunting Club can make the most of your hunting budget - lower travel and lodging expenses, no license or stamps and a higher bird harvest available than an out-of-state hunting trip.
